I’d lived in Ojai less than a year when, during the 1979 Music Festival, I heard the great Ravi Shankar playing sitar with tabla virtuoso Alla Rakha. It’s only one musical memory of Libbey Bowl from among so many–such as the wonderful years of the Bowlful of Blues–but it’s one I’ll never forget.
